Hey y’all! New illustration time. Here is a new one I did for Warner Music Group – an ad for this year’s NARM National Association of Recording Merchandisers Conference. It’s promoting Alternative Distribution Alliance or ADA – their indie distribution arm. Was thrilled to be asked by San Diego independent bookstore Mysterious Galaxy to design a custom illustration for Don Winslow’s new book Savages. The store will be selling a special edition of the book bundled with the limited edition print tonight at a signing for Don at the store. So if you are in the San Diego area – head over there! The book is a great read. Filled with drug dealers, sex, kidnapping, murder, and some incredibly memorable characters – I highly recommend this quick, fun read for fans of Tarantino flicks and Elmore Leonard books. Grammy Award winning producer and son of Johnny and June, John Carter Cash is releasing his first children’s book today. It’s called Momma Loves Her Little Son. John and his wife Laura (who was a backup singer for June) even recorded a new song to accompany the book. I oversaw creative development for this animated video for the book, you can check it out below! John is also in the studio now producing two new records from Loretta Lynn, those will be her first releases since the Jack White infused Van Lear Rose in ‘04.
